Cheery Cabled Headband This headband is an intermediate-level knit project. You should be able to knit, purl and make cables, either with a cable needle or without, before starting. I prefer to make cables without the cable needle, since I find it tends to get in the way, but the pattern is written as if you were using one. The final headband has a width of about 8 cm (3 1/4 inches) and a diameter of 23 cm (9 inches). This headband is designed to fit an average adult, and please make sure you check your gauge before you start to make sure that it fits properly once you're finished. If you want to change the size of the headband, just add or take away rows from the non-cabled section. Rainbow Scarf Crochet Pattern This scarf is worked lengthwise, and took me about 5 hours to complete. This is an intermediate-level project, but beginners should also be able to make it, since it isn't too complicated. I used different colors to help make the different stitches stand out, but it would also look good in one color if you want. My scarf ended up having a length of about 229 cm (7 and half feet) excluding the fringe, and is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. Easy Hat Crochet Pattern This pattern is a good project to practice the different stitches which are commonly used in crochet, including single and double crochet. Since it's made using bulky-weight yarn and an 8 mm hook, it is also quick to make, and only took me about an hour and a half per hat. They are also warm and comfortable.
