Braided Scarf Crochet Pattern
This scarf is made using extra bulky weight yarn and a 6 mm hook, so it works up quickly, and will also keep you warm. It also has a large puff-stitch braid going down one side.
It is an easy scarf to make, and should only take between 2 to 2 and a half hours to finish. My scarf ended up being 5 in (12.5 cm) wide and 64 in (163 cm) long.
You Will Need:
- 6 mm crochet hook
- 212 g of super-bulky weight yarn - I used Bernat Softee Chunky
Gauge:
Gauge is not important for this project.
Abbreviations:
- sc - single crochet
- hdc - half-double crochet
- puff st - (yo, insert hook into the stitch and pull up a loop) repeat two more times. Then yo and pull this loop through all the loops that are on the hook.
- dc - double crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- ch - chain
Note: this pattern is written using US crochet terms.
