Cheery Cabled Headband

Cheery Cabled Headband This headband is an intermediate-level knit project. You should be able to knit, purl and make cables, either with a cable needle or without, before starting. I prefer to make cables without the cable needle, since I find it tends to get in the way, but the pattern is written as if you were using one. The final headband has a width of about 8 cm (3 1/4 inches) and a diameter of 23 cm (9 inches). This headband is designed to fit an average adult, and please make sure you check your gauge before you start to make sure that it fits properly once you're finished. If you want to change the size of the headband, just add or take away rows from the non-cabled section. You will need: 30 g worsted weight yarn 4 mm knitting needles Cable needle Yarn needle Abbreviations: K - knit P - purl Cn - cable needle C3L - Cable three left - Move the next two sts to the cn and hold in front. P1, then K2 from the cn C3R - Cable three right - Move

Rainbow Scarf Crochet Pattern

Rainbow Scarf Crochet Pattern This scarf is worked lengthwise, and took me about 5 hours to complete. This is an intermediate-level project, but beginners should also be able to make it, since it isn't too complicated. I used different colors to help make the different stitches stand out, but it would also look good in one color if you want. My scarf ended up having a length of about 229 cm (7 and half feet) excluding the fringe, and is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. If you want a different length, just change the number of starting chains that you use. You will need: 6 mm crochet hook About 175 g total of worsted weight yarn in different colors (red, orange, yellow, purple, off-white and black) Abbreviations: sc - single crochet hdc - half-double crochet dc - double crochet bobble st - (yo, insert hook into the stitch and pull up a loop, then pull this loop through the first loop on the hook) repeat two more times. Then yo and pull this loop through all
